In the Dye Studio

Naturally Hand-Dyed Organic Merino

While design projects are marinating, we've been busy working on a line of naturally hand-dyed yarns. We are currently working with two bases- Organic Merino, a 100% Certified Fine Organic Merino worsted weight, and a Bluefaced Leicester Sock yarn.

Both of these yarns, I just adore. The Organic Merino is soft and squishy and takes the dyes beautifully. It would be perfect for cushy sweaters, baby and children's clothes, and cold weather accessories.

Sample: One skein of Organic Merino dyed with Logwood

The BFL Sock is a 80% Superwash Bluefaced Leicester, 20% nylon made from superior British BFL wool.  It has a beautiful sheen and a nice high twist- a trifecta of beauty from the BFL, strength from the nylon, and definition from the twist.

We are still building a palate, so check back soon for updates! In the meantime, if you would like to know more about our natural dyeing process, you can read about it here.
